The Interstate 95 in Miami is one of the main interstate highway
routes and traffic corridors that travels thru the Miami area. Traffic on the
i-95 in Miami and Miami-Dade County
generally flows in a North-South direction.
The i-95 is also a major connector to
the Florida Turnpike... the i-95 and the Florida Turnpike connect in
the North Miami area.
The i-95 in Miami also connects to the US Highway 1... in
fact, the very south-end of Interstate 95 terminates in
the Miami area, and then the i-95 actually becomes US Highway 1 (US
Highway 1 is also known as the "Dixie Highway")... US Highway 1
travels south from Miami, eventually reaching as far south as Key West FL
in the Florida Keys.
